Job Announcement: Deputy Director, Georgia Archives The Georgia Archives has provided innovative and dynamic archival leadership for 88 years. Its current programs include the development of a digital archive, numerous Teaching American History partnerships, and an ongoing relationship with its neighbors, the National Archives Southeast Regional Branch and Clayton State University. In 2003 the archives moved into an award-winning facility designed to provide secure storage as well as to foster teamwork and public outreach. The Deputy to the State Archives Director manages archival and records management programs, including strategic planning, operations, and public outreach; creates and maintains a high performance environment through positive leadership and a strong team orientation; maintains and applies knowledge of current trends, particularly in regard to public service initiatives and electronic records preservation.
