In response to Cheryl's very polite email on escalator etiquette, I
just had to share this story (hey, it is Friday):

When I first moved to Boston from the South, I'd never been on a
subway and escalators were what I used to leisurely get to the next
floor in the mall. After a few weeks of living in "the big city," I
was on the escalator coming up from the subway with a friend, standing
there like I had all day. My friend, not so politely, turned to me and
said "It's not a RIDE, Jessi!"

From then on, I have either made way for those who were in a bigger
hurry than me, or walked up the escalator myself.

Good luck and have a great time at SAA! :)
