She said she had recently attended a meeting of town supervisors in which the discussion was about emergency preparedness. "We didn't talk about this," Reagon said, gesturing toward the front of the building. Early that Saturday morning, a car crashed into the side of town hall, right where the clerk's office is located. Besides the damage to the building itself, the incident disrupted the town's ability to conduct business and endangered documents vital to the town's operations. The crash, and the resulting recovery costing thousands of dollars, underscored the need to protect the multitude of documents municipalities maintain.
