Hi all,

I'm conducting research at the moment about the volumes of digital data
produced every day, and I came across this interesting quote from a June
edition of Government Computer News (
http://www.gcn.com/print/25_16/41069-1.html): "...the world churns out
enough digital data to fill the Library of Congress every 15 minutes".

This is the sort of quote we would find useful in illustrating the need
to take action with the preservation of digital materials. I've been
searching around for a more authoritative source that includes this
quote, but I'm not having much luck. Has anyone come across the
original report/document this information came from? Any suggestions
would be helpful...

Kind regards,

Ruth Nitkiewicz
