Yes, Mike (and List), there specifically seems to be a problem with AOL
users failing to receive confirmation messages. This is a known
problem. I think the subscription is received by SAA, the problem lies
in AOL not accepting the autogenerated response. I had to contact the
SAA List administrator, Kerwin So, and he manually subscribed me for my
AOL account. (I'm subscribed under more than one account.) Send a note
to Kerwin at [log in to unmask] and he'll help you out, he's been very
patient and knowledgeable about doing workarounds for some of these
issues.

I too noticed the web interface is down today; unfortunate since the
old List goes dormant tomorrow.

I've followed the procedure at the site twice in the last two days with
no
response (in mail or spam folder). Now the link to the subscription
form:

http://forums.archivists.org/read/all_forums/

seems to be down.

I'll try again tomorrow. Anyone else on AOL been able to subscribe?
