At Wildwood on Lake Erie this morning (10/29) many Orange-crowned Warblers seen: 3 to 5 Kathy Pinchot directed me to one right side of road south of bridge. I relocated that one. Half hour later I found two in same location. Then she found one in field north of library. I found one west of grassy noll near bridge. Eastern Phoebe 1 (still hanging around) Field Sparrow 1 Sims Park 10/29/06 it was so windy I could only find one Surf Scoter flying west when I was at the east end of park because of winds blowing me away. I did see 3 Black Scoters though. Luckily when I went to west side of park looking for birds in the woods(minus my scope) the wind was blocked somewhat and I ran into the Bill Whan crew who thankfully showed me the 7 Surf Scoters in their scope. I will have to remember when the winds are out of the northwest or west to go to the west end of the park for better protection next time.
