Looks like we were all seeing the same thing. The cormorants passed over the Edgewater neighborhood on Cleveland's west side, in loosely scattered flocks of approximately 20 to 50 each, at 6:20 - 6:30 p.m. I saw them as I was walking up W. 102nd just south of Clifton. I wonder where they were all going, and I wonder if, when they arrived at their destination, the other birds said, "there goes the neighborhood." -Leslie Basalla ----Original Message Follows---- From: Terry and Heli <[log in to unmask]> Reply-To: Terry and Heli <[log in to unmask]> To: [log in to unmask] Subject: Re: [Ohio-birds] Cormorants Cleveland 4/16/07 Date: Tue, 17 Apr 2007 08:15:35 -0400 That flock flew over Avon Lake on the west side in Lorain County at 7:00 pm. It was broken into three groups a mile apart or so. Their sloppy V formations give them the appearance of a flock of drunks trying to walk a straight line. They also seemed to be actually following Walker rd. They turned along the bends in the road rather than flying straight west.
