Greetings all good birders. Hit OSU West Campus this morning (from about 8:30) for a look at the Bell's Vireo, and didn't come away disappointed (though I did have to wait 10-15 minutes after initially hearing the bird before it began foraging in less dense scrub). Indeed, had a brief view of the female as well. The best views occurred when a small flock of goldfinches arrived. The male became more vocal and chose more exposed perches for that brief period. Other notables: 1 Philadelphia Vireo 1 Acadian Flycatcher 1 Eastern Phoebe several Indigo Buntings Great Blue Heron flyover Good birding to all.
