For details and pointers see: http://www.ohiobirds.org/records/documentation.php Eared Grebe: One of the grebes found last week at Funk Bottoms Wildlife Area, Wayne County, was observed on the 19th from the observation tower. GLOSSY IBIS: A dark ibis, likely this species, was seen at Sandy Ridge Reservation, Lorain County, on the 18th. On the 19th there was a vague report of a Glossy Ibis from "a vineyard- (very wet and muddy area) just west of Vermilion". Golden Eagle: Larry Roche passed along word that a Cleveland Museum of Natural History field trip was able to watch one soaring above the Grand River Terraces in Morgan Township, Ashtabula County, on the 19th. Western Meadowlark: The bird singing at Rangeline and Cygnet Roads in central Wood County continues. Yellow-headed Blackbird: Kenn Kaufman spotted a male along Krause Road off of Route 2 in Ottawa County on the 17th. Pat Pulcini reported two males from there on the 22nd. Common Redpoll: Bob Lane had one lingering at his feeder near Damascus, Mahoning County, as late as the 23rd.
