On Friday afternoon, I saw 3 Chimney Swifts flying over the village of
Albany in Athens county. They usually arrive like clockwork in Athens on
April 15th every year, so this a day or two early.

Today, I heard a Prairie Warbler singing briefly between rain showers.

For the record, I still have one Red-Breasted Nuthatch coming to my feeders.
My Fox Sparrows are gone, but I still have a good flock of Whitethroats that
are very pretty in their breeding plumage and singing every morning. A few
of the goldfinches have completely molted as well.

The plant life has really exploded the past few days and with warmer temps
coming next week, it will be beautiful in southern Ohio next weekend.

Enjoy!
