I had a yellow-crowned night-heron at our Conley Road Property in
Painesville Township, Lake County this morning. It was in a large
beaverpond wetland dominated by buttonbush. It flew out of the buttonbush,
circled once, and then settled in the trees surrounding the wetland.
Juncos, magnolia warblers, and winter wrens are still singing.
