Saturday, I was at Indian Lake and while waiting to taking pictures of the rare Neon Winged Hummingbird: http://i153.photobucket.com/albums/s226/sjlarue/NikonCafe/fireworks3b.jpg, :) I took my daughter walking over at the grass trails in the camping area of the park. I saw what I believe to be a Willow Flycatcher. Here is link to OOS forum page: http://www.ohiobirds.org/forum/viewtopic.php?id=802, If it is or isn't let me know please. He/she responded well to pishing...well let me just say...(attention CHARLIE BOMBACI)...it responded well to my daughter's pishing, I think she was higher and softer then mine. And acted like a willow would...according to Sibleys....seemed to have several branches that it would perch on, not just one. And flew iradically. While there, I saw a male yellow warbler foraging. We then went to the public beach area and I spotted more flycatchers, on the nature trail. Also 2 male mallards and 1 female. A couple of gulls, loking for some poor unsuspecting girl to leave her sandwich exposed, sorry no ID. and a female yellow Warbler...who responded well to my pishing...20 feet up.:) Enjoy the neon winged hummingbird :D.
