I regularly check the Holmes County (Amish) RBA to see what's around. Recently there was a plea for people to renew their subscriptions to The Bobolink. I had never heard of such a publication and was determined to add my measly $10 for a year's subscription. The effort to learn how to do so demanded persistence over a period of two weeks so here is the info: The Bobolink is a quarterly publication published by the Holmes County Birding Association. It is designed much like the Cleveland Bird Calendar published by the Kirtland Bird Club. As stated, the rate is only $10 and is worth the money, I believe, simply to support a fine birding organization. The publication appears to be very prompt, too - the sample issue I received is from Summer 2008. To subscribe, send your $10 to The Bobolink c/o Levi A.
