The number of blackbirds in the evening roost at the McKinley Quarry in Columbus continues to explode. It's just an awesome sight. I couldn't begin to estimate how many tens of thousands of birds must be there. Finding Rusty Blackbirds is now no problem provided that you can get a good enough look at enough of the birds. This evening I counted 23 Rusties in just one tree right at the Indian Mound. Meanwhile, my backyard Ruby-crowned Kinglet remains in the area.
