Nice to bird the "local patches" this morning, after chasing birds around the state for the past several weeks. Migrant numbers overall were down , but there were a few nice surprises: Short-eared Owl Lorain Impoundment this bird actually settled down in a tree after the initial flush; don't think I've ever had a migrant do this, though it still would not allow me close enough for photos Orange-crowned Warbler Wendy Park wooded strip bordering the lake (east end) Worm-eating Warbler Cuyahoga Co - on private property, unfortunately -Gabe Leidy Cleveland ______________________________________________________________________ Ohio-birds mailing list, a service of the Ohio Ornithological Society.
