The papers of the North Conway Institute (North Conway NH) are in the collections of the Historical Society of the [Protestant] Episcopal Church at the Episcopal Theological Seminary of the SW in Austin TX, I believe -- although other denominations were involved, including the Presbyterians whose effort was headed by a layman, John Park Lee of Philadelphia.  One of the Episcopalians involved (besides Fr Works) was the Rev. Yvelin Gardner, perpetual deacon, of Garden City LI (NY), and Marty Mann's assistant for many years at the National Council.  There are a number of unpublished letters in the collection of some relevance to church involvement in alcohol issues 1940-1980 that I know of (including I think one or two from Bill W).  Quite possibly there isn't much in the way of writings about North Conway, but there's quite a bit of material available for writing.

A minister named Works, connected with North Conway, was (I think) on
the original ATHG advisory board. Will search for details.  Will be in
touch, Pam.
