Hi! My book, Brewing Battles: A History of American Beer has a lot of material on workers and the union, the UBW. My dissertation, "The Politics of Alcohol production: The Liquor Industry and thee Federal Government, 1860-1900," (Columbia University, 1986) has a chapter on the workers and the union. You should be able to get sources from the footnotes. Cheers!
