Sometimes you don't need to go far to get good birds. Thursday evening Linda and I listened to two Great Horned Owls calling back and forth from either side of our place. One was near the south border which has a forested area and is the most likely location for a nest. The other was in a large tree on the north side of our place. The tree is a great perch to watch the natural field for prey. A pair of Red-tailed Hawks work the field during the day.
