Well, my worst fear of the mudflat that I spoke of on Friday has come to life. On Friday it seemed like shorebird paradise, as I had described. However, seemingly overnight, I received reports from other Delaware countyers that the water level in the mudflat had severely dropped from what I had described, and by Sunday afternoon, there were very few shorebirds in the last puddle in the middle of the mud. Needless to say, by Monday there was no water left, and by Tuesday, the mud was almost completely dry. I don't know why the management has decided to destroy what could've been potentially the biggest shorebird stopover spot in central Ohio. Anyway, thought I'd let everyone know, and if anything changes, I'll post. Good birding, Sean P.S.
