Then, Sunday, I took the next 4 pictures of the baby begging and the adults ignoring it as they carried more nest material into the brush. Eventually the baby hopped back into the brush. At least 2 weeks earlier than Peterjohn says is typical. Not hard to imagine with the very warm April we had. So, why did the adults ignore the baby?
