Blackbrook Audubon Society does IBA bird walks at Lake Metroparks Beaty Landing every 2nd and 4th Sunday of the month starting at 8 am, and on the 3rd Wednesday starting at 7 pm. They had their 4th Sunday bird walk this morning. A group of 6 of us found 42 species on the 2 hour walk. There were four species of warblers seen on the trail, with Blue-winged being the best. The highlights of this morning's walk follow; Osprey Great Crested Flycatcher Warbling Vireo a family of 4 Carolina Wrens Rose-breasted Grosbeak Baltimore Oriole Warblers: Black-and-white Warbler 3 American Redstart 2 Yellow Warbler 1 Blue-winged Warbler 1 I have recently moved to a new house in Kirtland, just last Thursday, and today my family went back to my house in Madison to clean. In the yard, I found 2 Nashville Warblers. My new yard list so far at my house in Kirtland, which is at the intersection of Booth and Eagle rd, is at 25 species so far. Good Birding, Cole F.
