Bob, I know that the Sabine's Gull at Metzger Marsh Wildlife Area was still there as late as 2:30 pm today (Tuesday 11/23). Haven't heard whether it was seen later in the afternoon. Today it was spending part of its time in the boat channel just north of the parking lot, along with Bonaparte's Gulls, feeding on small fish (possible shad); at other times it would go off to the east along the shoreline. (For a bird that should be far out at sea by this time of year, it was spending an awful lot of time very close to shore.) Of course there's no way to predict whether the bird will still be around tomorrow. I don't know if I'll have a chance to go look tomorrow morning, but if I do, I'll post whether or not I see the bird.
