Two Rusty Blackbirds were feeding on hardtop road where scattered spilled corn has be mashed by tires along Island Road, Circleville area (north) about 200 meters south of the right angle bend in the road near the north end, maybe a quarter mile or so west of Route 23.. What is the most recent sightings of the Sandhill Cranes south of Circleville and the While-winged Scoter in Dayton? If anyone has and central ohio-ish sightings for Rusty Blackbirds or a Peregrine Falcon we would appreciate that as well. We ventured down to Deer Creek yesterday and found our Black Vulture finally, along with a lot of crows. There were also thousands of ducks, geese and gulls on the water including: Canada Geese, American Wigeon, Green-winged Teal, Mallards, Ring-necked, (one lonely) Bufflehead, Northern Pintails, Red-headed, Hooded Merganzer, Ring-billed Gulls, and Mute and Trumpeter Swans. I'm sure there were others that were overlooked. Others had reported lesser scaups in the area too. We aren't good at gulls one bit so I am sure we missed something there but I'm sure the majority were Ring-billed! Happy Birding!
