Shamefully, all I had for January were Canada Goose, Mallard, Cooper's Hawk, Red-tailed Hawk, Mourning Dove, Belted Kingfisher, Downy Woodpecker, Blue Jay, American Crow, Carolina Chickadee, Robin, Starling, Cardinal, House Finch, Goldfinch and House Sparrows. A resounding 16 species, all seen from a car or out my kitchen window. This winter's been way too cold for me. I'll try venturing outside this month. Come on, don't be shy - Who got the LEAST number of birds in January? I'll start: 44 species, mostly seen in my yard or while commuting, since I only went out birding once during the whole month.
