A couple pics of the Plegadis ibis discovered Emil Bacik are Hey all - A couple pics of the Plegadis ibis discovered Emil Bacik are up at: http://www.flickr.com/photos/28939750@N05/?saved=1 Nice looks at this bird in the bright afternoon rays showed a clearly pink legs, facial skin, reddish eye, and the distinct facial pattern of an ad. WHITE-FACED IBIS. A bit disconcerting was grayish bill color (though I imagine this characteristic can be a bit more variable than others), and the fact that a facial pattern/legs are a shade on the dull side for a bird in breeding plumage. Nice find, Mo! Also at Lorain - single Willet and Short-billed Dowitcher. Good birding - Gabe Leidy Sheffield Lake ______________________________________________________________________ Ohio-birds mailing list, a service of the Ohio Ornithological Society.
