I know lots of people have had concerns about how birders and birding would be portrayed in the film but have no fears, this movie is everything I hoped it would be. I don't know how it compares to the book but on its own it is funny, passionate and touching. Is it 100% accurate - no but it is a lot better than I expected. The attention to detail is impressive, our own Sax-Zim Bog gets a mention early on in the film. The shot of courting Bald Eagles is outstanding! I don't know if everyone will be as enthusiastic as I am right now but I highly recommend seeing it. Even the soundtrack is good. A quick thank-you to Clay Taylor from Swarovski Optik who saw the movie with us and provided a few door prizes. This is one I'll see again...
