I went to Villa Angela and Wildwood State Parks in Cleveland from 1pm to 3:15pm today. What a difference a day makes, 25mph west winds with huge gusts. Some different land birds than seen Friday. More birds seen where it was windy. Here is some of what I saw this afternoon (10/15): Northern Flicker 1 Eastern Phoebe 2 Brown Creeper 2 Winter Wren 1 Golden-crowned - few, Ruby-crowned Kinglets 9-10 (was not counting all of them) Hermit Thrush 3 Gray Catbird 1 (absent for awhile) Yellow-rumped Warblers 40+ Palm Warblers 12-15 (more than I ever see here - many in field area) Common Yellowthroat 2 (m & f) both near field area Song Sparrow 3 Swamp Sparrows 3-4 (same ones) in Wildwood White-throated Sparrows 25+ Dark-eyed Juncos 2 (haven't seen since few wks ago) I then went back to Sims Park 3:30 to 4:05pm today Palm Warblers - many seen here in addition to Yellow-rumped Warblers - numerous Black-throated Blue Warblers 2 (m & f) most colorful female I have ever seen bluish on tail and lower wings, then more olive upper, bold lower eye arc, white line over eye, bright white chip mark on wing - picture didn't due it justice Red-headed Woodpecker 1 (still there!)
