Yesterday 10/15 I checked out Evans L. and Pine L. in eastern Mahoning Co.  Evans L. had 5 gadwalls, 12 Am. wigeon, 50 ruddy ducks, 3 pied-billed grebes, double-crested cormorant, ad. bald eagle, 35 Am. coots, 300 ring-billed gulls,  herring gull, 20 tree swallows, and n. mockingbird.  At Pine L. were 80 ruddy ducks, 45 double-crested cormorants, 20 Am. coots, 75 ring-billed gulls, herring gulls, 25 tree swallows, Am. robin, and 5 yellow-rumped warblers.  I also checked some other lakes and ponds nearby in Mahoning Co., but didn't find much except a group of 4 killdeers.  Craig Holt, Lowellville
