Sharon, I was out at Prairie Oaks on Tuesday 10/11, and at the bridge over the stream just past the South Coneflower Trail I saw a mixed feeding flock that included multiple Yellow-Rumped Warblers (making their trademark 'check' sounds) and a couple of other difficult-to-identify warbler types as well. I believe one of them was an immature Blackburnian. These warblers were looking for insects on tree trunks as well as in the leaf canopy, and they were looking closely around the thorns sticking out of the honeylocust trees in the area. Sort of late in the season, but there were apparently enough bugs to go around. I took some pictures that weren't of the greatest quality, available upon request. I hope this helps! ~Tracy ______________________________________________________________________ Ohio-birds mailing list, a service of the Ohio Ornithological Society.
