Back on Oct 20th we reported a probable Rufous hummingbird visiting our feeders. Two days later it was captured, banded, measured, and identified as a male juvenile Rufous by master bander Tim Tolford as part of the HBRC/Tri-state Hummingbird Study. We had also posted pictures at: http://s116.photobucket.com/albums/o35/Dansen_in_Ohio/Ohio%20Birds/ From that time until yesterday, he showed up every day at the feeder a few minutes before sunrise. But yesterday and today he was awol. So I assume he has moved on, hopefully south. And hopefully there are many persons in his path who still have their nectar feeders out.
