We were at Slate Run Metro Park yesterday morning, and saw three trumpeter swans on one of the ponds there. I don't think we've ever seen swans there before; it looked like two adults and one juvenile (based on the darker head and neck) to me. They swam to the far side of the pond as we neared them on the trail, and finally flew away, likely spooked in part by the ruckus raised by some Canada geese. I managed to get one middling shot of them flying (imbedded in the comments of this photo: http://www.flickr.com/photos/jklsemi/6825570415/). --Sarah [log in to unmask] ______________________________________________________________________ Ohio-birds mailing list, a service of the Ohio Ornithological Society.
