We enjoyed finding four first-of-year warblers yesterday at Columbus Audubon Metro Park (Franklin County): yellow, palm, hooded, and blackpoll. eBird had me verify the blackpoll, so I'm wondering if this is an early sighting. I feel comfortable about the ID, as we watched him for a couple minutes, along with two rangers on bikes, comparing the field marks of a black-and-white warbler. This one definitely had the black cap, less streaking on breast, and orange legs. Lots of blue-gray gnatcatchers, and a brilliantly colored yellow-bellied sapsucker. Brilliant sunshine but crisp temperatures. http://ebird.org/ebird/view/checklist?subID=S13832564 Bill and Carla Hall Dublin, OH ______________________________________________________________________ Ohio-birds mailing list, a service of the Ohio Ornithological Society.
