No luck spotting the Harlequin or Long-tailed Ducks today but I did see a
female Black Scoter among the 300 or so mixed ducks at Eastlake.  Here's a

Nothing unexpected but a nice mix of ducks, gulls, Great Blue Herons and an
adult Bald Eagle.  Even a few robins where you park.  Dress warm and be VERY
careful walking on the parking lot.  The snow is covering very irregular,
smooth ice.



Fishermen against the wall kept any birds from getting close.  They caught a
couple steelhead while I was there - too cold for me to fish!
