Yesterday I was at Rocky River Park and saw a loon. It had a clear division between the white and dark of the neck. It held it's bill horizontally. I saw no way I'm back quarters above the waterline. I had nothing to compare it with in size. Looking through pictures it could be the pacific loon or just a common loon. Is what I described enough for one of you out there to call it a pacific loon? Jen Brumfield did see one there recently. I have seen many common loons the last few years. This bird had me questioning what it was. in fact I saw four common loons today at Rocky River State Park and even heard one give a call. -DB Sent from my iPhone ______________________________________________________________________ Ohio-birds mailing list, a service of the Ohio Ornithological Society.
