When I arrived at LaDue Reservoir at 9 this morning, there were about 50 tundra swans on the water. In the hour and a half I've been here several flocks have joined them and there are now 200 resting here. You can hear them announcing their arrival from the western sky.  

Also saw ten pine siskins, tightly clustered, feeding on the seeds of the black alders that line the edges of the reservoir.
