The female KING EIDER first reported by Donald Morse on Dec. 2 is still present on the Ohio River in front of the museum at Chilo Lock #34 Park in Clermont County. Dec. 10, 10:30-11:30am.

Gun shots from a duck hunter on the Kentucky side this morning made me anxious, but as long she continues to stay close to the Ohio shoreline she should remain safe. I hope.
