Ohio birders have added several shared bird reporting hotspots to eBird. http://ohioebirdhotspots.wikispaces.com/ Clermont County Grailville Nature Trails http://ohioebirdhotspots.wikispaces.com/Grailville+Nature+Trails Fairfield County Pickerington Ponds--Yellowlegs Trail has been merged into Pickerington Ponds--East (Fairfield Co.) Much of Pickerington Ponds is designated as a Nature Preserve where off-trail travel is prohibited. The Fairfield County section of Pickerington Ponds is entirely within the Nature Preserve. The Yellowlegs Trail begins in Franklin County for a short distance and then travels into Fairfield County. The trail connects with the Killdeer Trail. Most birders who visit this section of the park use these two trails to visit the observation deck on Pintail Pond. This is the only trail travel permitted in this section of the park. Because the Yellowlegs Trail crossed the county line it was attracting checklists of birds seen in Franklin County. Birds seen from the Yellowlegs Trail in Franklin County near the park office and maintenance barn should be reported to the hotspot Pickerington Ponds--West (Franklin Co.)
