Lawrence Woods is beginning to heat up, Butter Butts are everywhere, Sparrows are singing, Yellow-bellied Sapsuckers are drilling, Winter Wrens were here earlier in the week, but were absent today. If anyone is goes there and sees a Waffle House hat in the pond, please rescue it if you can...the wind was strong today. :-D Also went to Gross Woods State Nature Preserve...a little track of woods outside of Jackson Center. Looks like migrants will find some food there. It's worth the detour if you are in the area. A pretty good patch of Sessile Trillium getting ready to bloom near the front if you are interested in that. Lists of both areas below. Happy birding and God bless, Steve J.
