I apologize for the error, the house number on my previous post for the Pine Warbler is incorrect, it should be 1998 TR 122 Millersburg, I don't think the other house # even exists. That bird is still coming to the feeders as far as I know. The Lark Sparrow also continued at the Hershberger residence through yesterday. Usually it visits the feeders sometime after 4:00 yet but did not show last eve. when I was there. Interestingly, since Sunday the 20th it is now missing its long tail feathers! It is a little hard telling what happened but since there was a good amount of freezing rain during the night of the 19th I suppose it could be that the tail got iced to a limb and it couldn't get away otherwise! To: <[log in to unmask]> The Lark Sparrow continues at the Hershberger residence through today. According to the Hershbergers, early in the day seems not to be as good as later. The Snipe continues in the pond behind the barn as well. Also in Holmes Co., a Pine Warbler has been coming to the feeder at the Joseph Miller residence at 2755 TR 122 Millersburg. It has been coming since before New Years but only recently reported. Birders are welcome at both locations. Good luck, Eli Miller ---------- Forwarded message --------- From: Eli Miller <[log in to unmask]> Date: Mon, Jan 14, 2019 at 8:31 AM Subject: Lark Sparrow - Holmes Co. To: <[log in to unmask]> A Lark Sparrow has been coming to the feeders at the Levi Hershberger Jr. residence near Farmerstown at 2731 TR 164, Sugarcreek since Tues. Jan. 8th. It was not very regular the first several days and not confirmed till Sat. but was easy to get to see yesterday and Saturday. It likes to visit the feeder at the front of the house or the one between the two houses by the grape arbor. There is also a Wilson's Snipe in the washed out pond that is along the road on the south side of the barn which might be of interest for a January list. The snipe was visible from the road yesterday afternoon but it is a small township road with a fair amount of traffic so parking on the road to look for it is highly discouraged. There should be adequate parking at the farm. Birders are welcome.
