Things have been slow in Southern Summit county too. I think I’ve fed more squirrels and deer than birds. Numbers of juncos, chickadees, and titmice all down noticeably. Lack of finches as well. Thistle feeder usually vacant when it was always busy in past years.

Things have been pretty slow at my feeders in Wooster starting last fall. Not sure what is going on. We have heard red-shouldered hawk calling most every day, which is new the last few years. Perhaps that is related? Randy Rowe, Wooster

I haven't seen much at my feeders so far this winter except House
Sparrows and some Blue Jays and Starlings, but I did hear a Nuthatch
today. In addition to what I just listed I usually see Chicadees,
Juncos, Titmice, Cardinals and a few species of woodpeckers and
finches.  This concerns me--anyone else experiencing the same?
