Two Cattle Egrets found by Cheryl Erwin earlier this morning were still present at Fox Island State Park (more or less Indian Lake State Park - Fox Island beach) as of 10:45am when I left. They are a bit skittish, taking flight within 40-50 yards of approaching
them. There was a bit of general traffic when I arrived (mostly those fishing, some walking), but despite this, and taking flight several times, they circled and landed in different spots, either in the grass or small beach.
Take note that this should not be confused with Old Field Beach. Fox Island is in Russells Point off of N Orchard Island Road.
