The University will be closed beginning Friday, December 23, 1994 until Tuesday, January 3, 1995. The IBM and VAX located in Hoyt Hall will remain operational, but unattended from midnight, December 23, 1994 until midnight, January 2, 1995. This means there will not be an operator present to mount tapes, answer the phone, answer questions, or assist in solving problems. Before leaving on Friday, December 23rd, the operators will do a complete backup of December 22nd data on both the IBM and VAX. No further backups will be taken until Tuesday, January 23rd. If you plan on working between December 23 and January 2, there will be no backups created. Therefore, if you create, change or modify anything during that time, we will not be able to assist you with a recovery.
