     I think women's involvement in British temperance a splendid topic, too
long overlooked by scholars.  Could you please clarify your topic?  Are you
focusing primarily on a geographic region or will you cast a bigger net?
    A witness, who ran an inebriate's home, gave detailed testimony before the
Royal Commission on Liquor Licensing in the 1890s.  He is cited, as I recollect
in my article on the medical campaign againt maternal drinking, published in
the British Journal of Addiction.  You may find this helpful.
