Helen Tibbo is right that architectural drawings are protected under copyright, but as graphics not as textual materials. Under fair use clause in Title 17 Sec. 108 one could reproduce a small section of a drawing but an entire drawing would be subject to the same restrictions as a photograph or work of art is. I recall from a discussion earlier this spring with a big-wheel NY architect that drawings are considered works-made-for-hire (and as such are the property of the commissioning individual/entity) unless they are disapproved and not used by the commissioning corporation. At that time he can put his drawings under copyright as his own work. Richard Saunders [log in to unmask] Montana State Univ.--Bozeman [log in to unmask]
