Is there a verb family or something similar for the adjective "concise"?

There are adverb and noun manifestations in the dictionary, but nothing in
the form of a verb.

The closest I could come up with was to use the verb "to make concise"
which, although seems to be the best grammatically, seems to me wordy.

Ideas?
