An interesting anecdote came out of a panel discussion I heard at CCCCs last
month.  One of the presenters was talking about her students.  She said she
had one student who would be wide awake when he thought the discussion was
about style but would tend to drift off when the discussion was about grammar.
 
My question:  Can you have a discussion of style without it also being a
              discussion of grammar (at some, if not at all, levels)?
