Theta grids are an approximation of how verbs are characterized in a CG lexicon.
As to Fillmore, he and colleagues have been working on a lexical model
called Frame Semantics. You can see how it works at this site:

The site doesn't seem to be working right now, but I have accessed it in
the past. There is a dictionary on there to sample.
