At the beginning of a semester, I have students send me an introductory 
e-mail in which, among other things, students tell me about their interests. 
The following is one of my favorites:  "I like to chase women, go to bars, 
chase women, hang out with my buddies, and chase women.  Other than that, 
I'm pretty shallow."
