Subject: Arcola Loon update
Jim,
For some reason this message got bounced back to me. If you could
forward to the list I would appreciate it. thanks.
- Kevin
I arrived at about 4:30 p.m. at the mouth of Arcola Creek. All that I
can report is that an adult winter plumaged Common Loon was actively
feeding in the outflow from the creek, about 50 - 100 feet offshore. It
was the only loon in the area that I could find. Also present were
Horned Grebes, Bufflehead, some scaup, a few Bonaparte's and
Ring-billed Gulls.
