Hey all -
The Harris's Sparrow continues this morning and the
Millers were very helpful in locating it. They also
directed me to a screech-owl box a couple minutes up
the road...and sure enough, there was a red-phase bird
sticking out.
East 72nd was less productive this afternoon. No one
had any white-winged gulls while I was there. I did
have one probable Thayer's, but it got away and there
was an adult Lesser Black-backed way out on the ice.
There were quite a few ducks of the expected winter
species present...no scoters among them.
Good birding -
